RIFT/REPAIR

Created specifically for the front window of the Washington Printmakers Gallery in Washington DC, Rift/Repair transforms repurposed monotypes into a site-responsive installation. Its color palette evokes glaciers and bodies of water, while the cut paper composites reference rifting—the initial stage of glacial fracture and melt—and the broader impact of human activity on the natural world. The adhesion of paper fragments suggests an ongoing, and often uncertain, effort to repair what has been damaged.
